Sue's shining like a star - 33lbs lighter!

After years of dieting, being encouraged to enjoy unlimited amounts of her favorite foods including seafood, pasta, and fresh fruit sounded too good to be true for Sue Rackers from Texas. Now she’s 33lbs lighter and loving her new-found celebrity status. Read her story here…

“I’ve been overweight ever since I gave birth to my son who’s nearly 30 years old! I’ve tried various weight loss methods over the years with little or no success. I’d easily lose 5-10 pounds, and then I’d just gain it right back – and then some!

“A lot of times I’d skip breakfast but by 10am I’d be starving and I’d snack on junk-food at work. Dinner would always be some kind of fast-food that was covered in batter, deep-fried, and dripping in oil. My diet was unbalanced, unhealthy and boring!

“One day I realized that behind the big smile was a very unhappy woman who hated the way she looked. I no longer wanted to make excuses to my grandchildren why I couldn’t go in the swimming pool or why I couldn’t run around the garden and play games.

That evening I joined Slimming World and was confident that this time I’d lose weight and be able to keep it off for good. My husband and I replaced all the junk-food in our cupboards with healthy and nutritious Free Foods like potatoes, pasta, and vegetables that can be enjoyed anytime of the day. My fridge had never looked so full – it was packed with lean meats, fat-free yogurts, and fresh fruit.

“Just as I expected, the pounds melted away and within a few weeks I’d lost 7lbs! My husband has been so supportive and together we make lots of delicious meals that we can both enjoy. We both love seafood and we enjoy experimenting with salmon, shrimp, or lobster by tossing it in pasta, salad, or fresh vegetables – delicious!

“Before I joined Slimming World I was shopping in the XL sizes and dreaded catching sight of myself in shop windows. I’m now wearing several sizes smaller and I recently wore (for the first time in many, many years) a skirt that was above my knees. My body shape has changed drastically and it’s all down to Food Optimising and Body Magic. My husband and I love walking with the grandchildren in the local countryside – I’ve even challenged them to a race in the pool when the weather heats up!
